I am running to represent you in the Pennsylvania state house because I have the experience, dedication and values that we need in a representative for the 131st district.
As an educator I have spent the last eight years fighting to give my students a brighter future. Our current legislature voted to cut education funding by nearly $1 billion, which left the school districts in the 131st with an $18 million dollar shortfall – a shortfall that would need to be made up by the local tax effort, or by cuts to jobs and programs.
The key to improving the economy is investment in the people. We need investment in jobs and job training, we need tax reform that ensures all pay their fair share, and we need government reform that gives citizens a stronger voice in their communities and government.
In my career I have been an outspoken advocate for jobs, our children’s education, and the residents of this district. It would be my honor to work for you in Harrisburg.
